Restoring Connection & Trust

Daria Kunda

Сlinical psychologist and psychodynamic psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience in private practice.

About Me

Hello, I am Daria.

My work is dedicated to children, adolescents, and their parents. I draw on the classical traditions of child psychoanalysis while integrating contemporary psychoanalytic thought and current developments in neuropsychoanalysis.I am not afraid of strong or painful emotions. My role is to support you and your child in facing emotional reality with care, and in finding within these experiences a basis for psychological growth and resilience.

I want things to stay the same, and yet I want everything to change.

Credentials

Qualifications & Education

I am convinced that a psychologist’s professionalism is impossible without continuous education. My ongoing training is not simply an accumulation of knowledge, but a way to expand the boundaries of my own perception.

PATHWAYS TO HEALING

Services

I believe that what is often described as a teenager’s “difficult” behavior is, at its core, an attempt to reach out to the world, just as parental anxiety is most often rooted in deep love.

🌱Child & Adolescent Therapy

Children frequently struggle with intense emotions—such as anger, envy, fear, and loss—that can be overwhelming. I help them process these experiences so they no longer result in inner distress.

🤝 Parenting Support

I help parents develop the capacity to contain their child’s emotional world. Together, we look for ways to turn conflict into a space of play, trust, and connection.

💻 Online Sessions

Individual online sessions in a safe, confidential space — wherever in the world you may be.

Terms & Conditions

Psychological Services for Minors (Under 18)
Psychological services provided to clients under the age of 18 are subject to specific conditions intended to ensure the effectiveness of therapy and to protect the best interests, safety, and well-being of the child.
1. Initial Consultation and Commencement of Therapy
1.1 Parental Consultation
When a request for psychological services is made by a parent or legal guardian, the initial session is conducted exclusively with the parent(s) or legal guardian(s), without the child present. This consultation allows the specialist to:
establish professional contact with the parent(s),
obtain a comprehensive developmental and psychosocial history (anamnesis),
understand the child’s living circumstances and presenting concerns, and
clarify therapeutic goals, expectations, and the framework of the intervention.
1.2 Informed Consent
Psychological work with a minor may commence only after the initial parental consultation and the completion and signing of a voluntary Informed Consent form by the parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
1.3 Notification of Both Parents
Psychological services for a minor are provided on the condition that both parents are informed of the child’s participation in therapy.
In cases of separation or divorce, unless otherwise determined by a valid court order (e.g., limitation or termination of parental rights), both parents retain the right to be informed about the child’s psychological care.
The initiating parent confirms that the other parent has been informed and has not expressed an objection to the therapy.
In the event of a clear and unresolved disagreement between parents regarding the necessity or continuation of therapy, the specialist reserves the right to suspend services until the matter is resolved.
2. Schedule and Setting of Therapy
To support therapeutic continuity and progress, the following attendance policies apply:

2.1 Regularity
Therapy sessions are typically scheduled once per week, unless otherwise agreed upon based on clinical considerations.
2.2 Fixed Appointment Time
A specific day and time are reserved exclusively for the client. Maintaining a consistent schedule is essential for establishing a safe, predictable, and effective therapeutic environment for children and adolescents.
2.3 Lateness
If the client arrives late, the session will end at the scheduled time and will not be extended.
If the specialist is late, the lost time will be compensated for or added to a subsequent session.
2.4 Cancellations and Missed Appointments
If you know in advance that you need to cancel an appointment, please notify the specialist as soon as possible so the time may be offered to another client.
Appointments cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice will not be charged.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged at 100% of the session fee.
3. Confidentiality and Its Limits
The specialist respects and protects the confidentiality of all therapeutic sessions with the child. Information disclosed during therapy is not shared without consent, except where disclosure is required by ethical standards or legal obligations.
Confidentiality may be breached, with mandatory notification of the parent(s) or legal guardian(s), in the following circumstances:
Risk to Life or Health: If there is reason to believe that the child poses a serious risk of harm to themselves or others.
Abuse or Illegal Acts: If the child reports being subjected to physical, sexual, or psychological abuse, neglect, or other criminal acts.
Severe Psychological or Psychosomatic Condition: If the child’s condition requires urgent medical or psychiatric intervention to ensure their safety or well-being.
Only information necessary to ensure protection and appropriate intervention will be disclosed.
4. Ongoing Parental Collaboration
The specialist may request additional meetings with the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) during the course of therapy. These meetings are intended to discuss therapeutic progress, observed dynamics, and recommendations relevant to the child’s well-being, while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and the child’s right to privacy.
